January News at Kafe Meze Graceville

Happy New Year from all of us at Kafe Meze Graceville! We hope you had a wonderful holiday season and are ready to embrace all that 2025 has to offer.

Here’s what’s happening this month:

New Year’s Day Cake Tradition

Every New Year’s Day, many families come together to enjoy a special cake—often called the “Vasilopita” in Greek tradition.

The cake is usually baked with a hidden coin inside, and whoever finds the coin in their slice is said to have good luck for the year ahead.

We love sharing these cultural moments with our patrons, and hope you continue the tradition—or perhaps even start a new one—in your home this year.

Australia Day Closure

Australia Day is just around the corner, and we’ll be observing it on the 26th and 27th of January. Please note that we will be closed on Monday, the 27th.

We’ll be back to welcome you the following day, refreshed and ready to serve you more of our delicious Mediterranean-inspired fare.

Valentine’s Day Pre-Bookings

Even though it feels like the new year has just begun, Valentine’s Day is right around the corner! Celebrate the special day with your loved ones at Kafe Meze Graceville.

Our pre-bookings are open now—book early to avoid missing out on a memorable evening filled with great food and a romantic ambiance.

Thank you for all your support, and we can’t wait to share more exciting updates and delicious dishes with you in 2025.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Cheers,The Team at Kafe Meze Graceville
